2024 D.C. Delegation
Nashville Health Care Council
ECG associate principal Jessica Wells will moderate a panel at the upcoming D.C. Delegation on April 18.
Workforce Supply, Demand, and Need
Jessica and the panelists will discuss the challenges our healthcare leaders and patients face with our lack of workforce adequacy to meet the increasing demand for care in our communities.
Contemporary healthcare workforce demand models report our physician workforce will be short by more than 80,000 providers and 200,000 nurses, even when accounting for the potential of expanded scopes of practice for nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
Panel topics include:
- Strategies in pipeline development.
- Expansion of training.
- Diversity in providers.
- Retention/burnout.
- Attraction to underserved communities and populations.
